This course is designed to recognize student limitations, fears, confusion, general lack of
motivation with math. The course will address these obstacles through engaging in basic
math strategies that will build a base of knowledge through scaffolding of information.
This informative curriculum will include mathematical vocabulary, real world equations,
prior knowledge, combined with a new approach. Through proper scope and sequence
each student will gain more confidence and motivation in math, while changing their
perception from fear to fun. The course incorporates the gradual release model as we work
together through the vocabulary, equations, strategies and solutions to improve your
ability and desire to teach math enthusiastically.
