Cultural anthropology is not only an academic discipline, but also a way of looking at the world. To have an anthropological perspective is to forever ask how human culture, practices, and beliefs developed; to wonder why we do these things and what the consequences might be; and to be curious about the alternatives that might exist in different contexts, under different circumstances. Anthropology questions the aspects of life that we take for granted, and suggests that there is no such thing as “strange” or “other” - or maybe there is, and maybe it’s us.
