Printmaking Methods is designed to build upon previous knowledge acquired by students during the Intro to Printmaking course. Students will be given more freedom in terms of subject matter in order to encourage the development of their own artistic voice and the expansion of their personal portfolio of work. The course will include sketching, demonstrations, personal research, consultations, work days and an interview with a contemporary printmaker of their choice. The combination of these practices, in conjunction with the completion of projects and critiques throughout the duration of the course, will ultimately lead to successful works of art and a deeper understanding of the relationship between advanced processes in print media and your work as an artist.
