Missing Classes?

Moodle has a new feature to help us focus on current courses in the navigation panel in the left side of our course. Courses don't appear until after their start date, and when they reach their end date, they shift out of the navigation panel. You can still find them in your dashboard. Here's how to find courses that don't appear in the left navigation panel:

Screenshot of dashboardClick on the Dashboard link in the left navigation panel or open the user menu in the upper right corner of any Moodle page and click on Dashboard.

In your dashboard, scroll down to the Course overview section.

Filter your course list to find the course(s) you are looking for. Courses that have not yet arrived at their start date will be displayed when you filter by Future, while courses whose end date has passed will appear on when you filter for Past courses. Note that courses that have not yet started will not be displayed on the Future tab until instructors make them available to students.

Quick Tip: You can bookmark your dashboard or any main page of a Moodle course for quick reference! If you are not already logged into Moodle when you click on the bookmarked link, be sure to scroll down to the SOU Account Login link at the bottom of the log-in page.

Students, here's what to do if you still don't see a course.
